Most years this is pretty cheesy although Klaxons where more the capable of clinching it back in 2007 then last year was one by Elbow a band i had never came across before so this year is back with a bang proving that 2009 is shaping up a good year for music. I know 7 of the guys in the shortlist this year who are very much good...
BAT FOR LASHES - TWO SUNS
Yeahs soo shes got the 'magic' factor and toured with Radio head but not really for me, not got much more to say really, part from the fact that i also love facepaint..........
FLORENCE AND THE MACHINE - LUNGS
My money is on Florence all the way, i am massive fan since i heard Kiss with a Fist, back in 2008 this year alone i think i have seen her 5 times live and every time just gets better and better really has got a set of lungs on her, i know some people 'don't' get her but i love her, but am jealous of her bright reddish hair would love to be a ginger hence me actually getting my hair done red and eating lots of raw carrots.
FRIENDLY FIRES - FRIENDLY FIRES
Well OK so they have almost played at every festival so far it this year so it is hard not to have heard of them. So they look like a bunch of 14 years old but we all love unshameable cheesy pop but they have some pretty good songs like Paris, Jump in the pool . I really reckon they could be the shock winners i have not heard the whloe album but to be honest they have the whole package including the funny as fuck dancing of frout man Ed MacFarlane, even if not fan go with headphones and just watch his dancing tears of loves
Actually i just re watched this and i what to marry Ed in Paris. Would Like them to win for the fun factor........
GLASVEGAS - GLASVEGAS
Heard off them not really me, not a fan of they stuff reminds me off being at my Grandads listening to him go on and on and on with no meaning to it. I have sleep issues so maybe my Itunes could buy purely as my sleeping power help....
THE HORRORS - PRIMARY COLOURS
LOVVVVVVVVVVE so i am a little Gothic i like to dress in black and wear lots and lots of mascara. They where the first real band per sides Bloc Party that i saw live when i was getting into the 'music scene' back in 2006 I love Sheena is a Parasite purely on the darkness that i feel off it. When ever i hear Sheena is a Parasite i what to go somewhere dark in the rain and swing from graves while heavily head bashing pure genius then again most of the songs from Debut album Strange House i wanted to do that. If you thought they where just tight trousers and haircuts kinda band your wrong they kicked may 2009 albums with second album Primary Colours, seriously listen it is not what you would expect from such a dark band.

RIGHT if she wins i will stab all her albums in all the HMV within the 10mile radius from my house, I cannot stand her i really cant i just don't get her. I disagree Glasvegas are one of the best bands at the moment and comparing them to your grandad a little harsh? Think you should actually listen to them and see what a great band they are. I do agree on the La roux part shes outdated and shit
